Job summary

MAI Construction, Inc. in San Jose, CA, seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead budgeting, bidding, and delivery of complex life science projects from concept to closeout.

You will manage cost and schedule control, coordinate with subcontractors, and develop new clients while supporting existing relationships. Procore and MS Office proficiency, LEED a plus, are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in construction project management with bidding, estimating, and cost control
• Life Science/Biotech project experience is a plus
• Procore and MS Office proficiency desired
• Strong written and verbal communication; client-focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates from drawings and specifications
• Oversee planning and delivery of construction projects from concept to closeout
• Manage document control including cost control, schedule control and change order administration
• Identify and manage risks, including lead time assessments and site assessments
• Develop new clients while supporting and maintaining existing clients
• Participate in trade shows and industry organizations
