Job summary

UFP Industries in Michigan is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will coordinate scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, procurement, and stakeholder communication to deliver projects that meet company objectives and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive construction project management experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, purchase orders, and order management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software; AutoCAD/Bluebeam preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from initial concept through project closeout.
• Manage all phases of project delivery including scope, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, permitting, design coordination, construction, and occupancy.
• Provide leadership to project teams, establish clear expectations, promote accountability, and remove obstacles to project success.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Review and negotiate proposals, contracts, change orders, and consultant agreements.
• Coordinate and manage contractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers to ensure quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.
• Monitor project performance and address safety, quality, cost, schedule, and scope issues.
• Lead project meetings and communicate status, risks, constraints, and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Support site selection, due diligence, zoning, permitting as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and complete project documentation.
• Mentor team members and contribute to strengthening Construction Group processes and reporting.
