Job summary

Wainwright Talent Partners in Orlando seeks a strong Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial, retail, and multifamily construction. The PM will coordinate all facets to deliver on time, within budget, and to the required quality, providing clear leadership for the project team and serving as the main on-site driver of success.

Responsibilities include budgeting, safety plan development, pre-construction RFPs, owner reporting, subcontract packages, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a project team.
• Ability to develop and implement procedures and protocols.
• Strong understanding of project financials.
• Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience.
• Leadership ability.
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating).

Responsibilities

• Create and manage project budget.
• Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and implement safety procedures.
• Collaborate on pre-construction RFP package.
• Conduct project meetings, while setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reports.
• Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packages.
• Maintain adherence to safety standards and required documentation.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
• Perform project scheduling; ensure quality control and overall logistics.
• Maintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project).
• Manage the closeout process efficiently.
• Complete all job close-out procedures.
• Supervise support roles (asst PM, admin, MEP managers, safety team).
• Collaborate with the PM and site ops team throughout the life of the project.
