Job summary

MIRACORP is seeking a Project Manager IV to lead complex construction projects for government facilities. The role oversees planning, design, construction, commissioning, and occupancy, coordinating with A/E teams, contractors, and customer agencies to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

Strong technical expertise and leadership across building systems are essential. The position requires on-site management, travel to project sites, and collaboration with acquisition, financial, and program staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or ten years of experience in managing design and construction projects.
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple large-scale construction/renovation projects from planning through occupancy.
  • Develop scope, manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and contractor oversight.
  • Review design documents, submittals, and invoices; coordinate with A/E firms and agencies.
  • Provide on-site oversight, resolve field issues, and ensure contract compliance.

The role manages customer expectations, project scope, budget, and schedule while providing technical expertise on building systems, codes, life safety, and quality assurance. The incumbent serves as the on-site project manager, resolves field issues, and ensures successful project delivery through strong coordination with internal teams, A/E firms, contractors, and customer agencies.Essential FunctionsManage multiple large-scale construction and renovation projects, including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement coordination, and contractor oversight.Prepare Project Management Plans, establish project milestones, track progress, and ensure compliance with governing codes, life safety requirements, sustainability standards, and quality assurance expectations.Serve as the on-site project manager or inspector, performing daily field oversight, resolving complex construction issues, and ensuring work meets contract requirements and budget constraints.Review and recommend approval of design documents, construction submittals, progress evaluations, and invoices; coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, contracting specialists, and customer agencies.Provide technical expertise on building systems, workmanship quality, environmental regulations, and construction best practices.Facilitate project meetings, maintain strong stakeholder communication, and support a collaborative team environment with acquisition, financial, and program staff.Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and on budget.Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and technical evaluations as required.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.Master’s degree in a related field preferred.Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems, with the ability to solve complex technical and project challenges.Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading and interpreting construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, acquisition staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software.Why Choose MIRACORP?At MIRACORP, we recognize that our employees are the cornerstone of our success.
