Job summary

Brink Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Intern to support the Project Manager on project tasks, follow up on deliverables, and review outcomes. Travel to the Midwest up to 75% with a Rapid City, SD base.

The role involves assisting with scheduling, procurement, safety, and reporting across multiple projects. The position is temporary and paid hourly at $20/hour, with opportunities to gain experience in construction management and project controls.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel) required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Drug Free Workplace – must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Construction experience including field work or internships.
• Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Understanding of the project design process for projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM in developing the initial project schedule with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management personnel.
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedule exhibits for PM review.
• Coordinate with Health and Safety to develop and implement the project safety plan and incident reporting.
• Assist in preparing monthly project review reports for the PM and Senior Management.
• Provide feedback to improve quality of technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables.
• Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
• Monitor progress of design, procurement, and construction.
• Facilitate project close-out and warranty administration.
• Conduct post-construction cost reviews and capture lessons learned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by PM.
• Adhere to internal standards and field document control.
• Create daily reports.
• Take progress photographs.
