Job summary

The Texas A&M University System Offices in College Station, Texas is seeking a Construction Project Manager II to oversee project scope, budget, schedule and compliance, acting as the primary liaison for coordination with clients throughout all phases.

You will provide quality assurance by reviewing contractor work, manage pre-construction and construction coordination, oversee closeout, track costs, and report status for the parametric cost database.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum two years of related construction project management experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Assurance by reviewing the work of project team members to ensure compliance with contract requirements and design standards.
• Act as a project customer service representative to clients and coordinate pre-construction and construction activities.
• Manage the closeout process from Substantial Completion through training, furnishing, certification, commissioning and financial closeout.
• Maintain and report project budget and schedule conditions; submit cost information for the parametric cost database.
• Assist in preparation of RFQs and RFPs; assist in negotiations of contracts.
• Ensure contract documents comply with codes, standards, and approved programs; ensure architect/engineer submittals.
• Other duties as assigned.
