Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Construction Project Manager for the New York City metro area to own and drive fiber and wireless deployments in multifamily and commercial properties. This on-site role blends leadership with hands-on field work to keep multiple builds moving safely, efficiently and on schedule.

You will coordinate field crews, vendors, and internal teams, visit sites to evaluate conditions and risks, and monitor progress from preconstruction to closeout.

Qualifications

• Telecommunications field operations experience.
• Ability to read schedules, drawings, and build plans.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Our client is a growing connectivity organization expanding advanced fiber and wireless infrastructure across multifamily and commercial properties throughout the New York City metro area. This is an opportunity to take ownership of highly visible deployments that bring high-performance connectivity into complex urban buildings. The Construction Project Manager will guide projects from early site planning through installation and closeout, combining strong project leadership with hands-on field involvement to keep multiple builds moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Focus:

• Lead multiple connectivity construction projects from preconstruction and site readiness through installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Coordinate field crews, contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain clear responsibilities, schedules, and project priorities.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate building conditions, installation pathways, constructability concerns, and potential deployment risks.
• Manage fiber, WiFi, and wireless infrastructure deployments across multifamily, high-rise, and commercial properties.
• Monitor schedules, labor requirements, milestones, and project risks while proactively resolving issues that could affect delivery.
• Provide hands-on field support to overcome technical, logistical, construction, and site-access challenges.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, build plans, progress reporting, action items, and closeout information.
• Build productive relationships with property representatives, contractors, technicians, and project partners while promoting safe, organized job sites.

Skill Set:

• Highly organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Project management experience involving construction, multifamily properties, telecommunications, fiber, wireless, low-voltage systems, or related field operations is preferred.
• Hands-on problem solver who is comfortable supporting field teams and navigating challenging urban construction environments.
• Familiarity with fiber infrastructure, Ethernet, conduit pathways, WiFi, fixed wireless, or related connectivity technologies is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret project schedules, drawings, schematics, build plans, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, reporting, teamwork, and client-facing skills, with a personable approach to real estate and property stakeholders.
• Eager to learn new technologies and construction methods, with familiarity using project or task management platforms preferred.
• Comfortable working in the field and available to travel up to 50 percent based on project needs.
