Job summary

Pilot Fiber in New York City seeks a construction leader to drive the successful execution of fiber network projects and oversee field teams delivering 24/7 service. You will improve operations, manage vendors, and ensure top-quality customer delivery across installations, outages, and maintenance.

You will guide data collection, reporting, and standardization, collaborating with back-office and facilities teams to align with company goals and ensure scalable, reliable network growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the construction industry.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong project management skills to oversee multiple complex projects.
• High technical acumen and ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, solve problems, multitask, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful execution and completion of projects involving the fiber network.
• Manage daytime and evening field teams and 24/7 field operations, ensuring customer-centric service delivery.
• Improve construction team operational excellence through training, technology and process improvements.
• Foster relationships with vendors to minimize dependencies and maximize economies of scale.
• Set and improve data collection and reporting across construction activities.
• Coordinate with back office construction operations and facilities teams.
• continually improve processes, workflows and service quality.
• Collaborate with leadership on future network expansion and new services.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation and compliance with standards.
• Set and improve quality, safety, and workmanship policies and KPIs.
