Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Fiber Construction Manager to oversee fiber projects from design to close-out, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance while aligning with client and company standards. You will coordinate with engineers, manage vendors, and handle permits and construction plans.

Requirements: 1–3+ years in telecom construction, Outside Plant fiber experience, aerial/underground fiber knowledge, vendor and budgeting skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years in telecommunications construction.
  • Experience supporting Outside Plant (OSP) fiber projects.
  • Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction methods.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors, contractors, and construction schedules.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination.
  • Strong project coordination and budgeting experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct constructability reviews and validate project readiness
  • Develop bid packages and oversee contractor selection
  • Coordinate permit acquisition and construction plan development
  • Track and manage material orders and deliveries
  • Oversee field construction activities, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with local municipalities, utilities, and state agencies
  • Provide project status updates, milestone reporting, and escalation management
  • Monitor project budgets and negotiate vendor costs
  • Serve as site safety and quality assurance representative
  • Resolve field issues and recommend solutions to maintain project timelines

Job description

The Fiber Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing fiber construction projects from design through close-out, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to client and company standards. This individual will manage contractors, coordinate permitting and licensing activities, oversee field construction, and work closely with engineering and project management teams.

Responsibilities:

Compensation:

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
