Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled estimator and project manager to oversee cost estimating, bidding, planning, and financial performance of construction projects in Idaho. You will collaborate with field operations, customers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, read plans, manage budgets and schedules, and use estimating software such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of construction estimating and/or project management experience preferred.
• Experience in earthwork, utilities, heavy civil, site development, asphalt paving preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop competitive bid proposals and participate in bid reviews.
• Analyze project risks, productivity rates, and scheduling requirements.
• Maintain current pricing databases and market intelligence.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and support field operations.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Foremen, and Operations personnel to achieve project goals.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, engineers, public agencies, and customers.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
