Job summary

HK Contractors is seeking an Estimator-Project Manager in Idaho Falls to accurately project materials, equipment and man-hours for bids and budgets. This role coordinates with management and field teams to ensure compliance with DOT, Federal Highway and municipal work.

The position requires an engineering degree or equivalent with 3–7 years in construction estimating, management, and experience with estimating software and CAD tools. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.
• Three to seven years of construction experience with DOT, Federal Highway and municipalities.
• Three to seven years of construction estimating experience.
• Three to seven years experience with construction management.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed estimates by completing takeoff, using past cost history, and conferring with field personnel.
• Maintains files of working documents and price information from suppliers.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate bid details to field personnel on awarded bids.
• Review design options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations.
