Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our Energy division in Colorado. You will manage projects, coordinate with GC, architect, and engineers, and drive execution from design through closeout.

Required: Bachelor's in CM/Engineering, 5 years PM/Engineering/Construction, OSHA 30, and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera. Preferred: PE/ CPM/LEED and GC/mechanical subcontractor experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
• Five years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction.
• Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or SureTrak required.
• Completed OSHA 30 class is required.
• Experience with General Contractors or major mechanical subcontractors preferred.
• PE, CPM, LEED designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies required resources to achieve project goals.
• Generates preliminary assessments, technical solutions, fee proposals, presentations, studies, and general support.
• Primary contact for project engineering staff during construction.
• Transitions activities from design to construction and construction to closeout.
• Communicates with General Contractor, Architect, Engineer, Owner and stakeholders.
• Develops and manages project plans, schedules and scopes of work.
• Documents and resolves subcontractor and vendor billing issues.
• Assists business development in responding to bids and proposals.
• Ensures site safety and compliance for subcontractors and personnel.
