This role blends development and construction, offering collaboration with Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership through the project lifecycle.

You will drive budget, schedule, quality, and team performance while mentoring engineers and assistant PMs, shaping LG Group's construction operations and delivering impactful

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years progressive construction management experience.
• Experience managing multifamily, mixed-use, high-rise, or large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, building systems, and contract management.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, schedules, budgets, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through turnover.
• Develop execution plans, schedules, budgets, and procurement strategies.
• Manage project financial performance, forecasting, costs, contracts, and change orders.
• Monitor critical path and mitigate schedule risks.
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, stakeholders.
• Oversee documentation, reporting, and project controls.
• Facilitate collaboration between office and field teams.

Position Overview

LG Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multifamily, mixed-use, and high-rise residential projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Unlike a traditional general contractor environment, this role offers direct exposure to both development and construction, providing the opportunity to collaborate closely with Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams throughout a project's lifecycle. The Project Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for project performance, driving budget, schedule, quality, and team success while helping deliver some of Chicago's most impactful residential and high-rise developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction planning through construction completion and turnover

• Monitor critical path activities and proactively identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, trade partners, ownership groups, and internal stakeholders
• Oversee project documentation, reporting, communications, and project controls
• Facilitate collaboration between office and field teams to ensure successful project execution
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to ownership and leadership teams
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
• Support safety, quality control, and operational excellence initiatives throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive construction management experience
• Experience managing multifamily, mixed-use, high-rise, or large-scale commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, building systems, and contract management
• Ability to interpret construction documents, schedules, budgets, and financial reports
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
