The Construction Project Manager (CPM) manages complex flood-control construction projects and components, providing technical management expertise for multi-million-dollar projects. The CPM ensures flood control structures are built to approved plans and specifications, making in-the-field modifications with appropriate approvals as necessary, so the final project functions as designed to protect people and property during flooding events. You will work closely with the Contractor, the Engineer-of-Record, and with various project partners and agencies.
Flood Control? In a desert? Absolutely! Though Maricopa County is in a desert, floods occur during two distinct rainy seasons – the summer monsoon and winter frontal rains. Although the Flood Control District has made significant progress over the years, work remains to be done. Protective Equipment Required Personal protective equipment will be required while on construction sites and will be provided.
