Job summary

Dobco in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale public works projects ranging from $30M to $250M. The ideal candidate will independently manage $20M+ ventures, lead teams, monitor budgets and schedules, and coordinate with subcontractors and owners to ensure quality from preconstruction through closeout.

The role requires strong leadership, robust communication, and adept problem-solving abilities to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Experience independently managing construction projects of $20M or more.
• Commercial, institutional, or public works construction experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budget, schedule, contracts, and overall performance.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Track costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project progress.
• Lead project meetings and maintain communication with the project team.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting cost, schedule, or quality.
• Work closely with the Superintendent to ensure successful field operations.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure timely project closeout.
