Job summary

HearingLife is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager in New Jersey to lead complex building projects from inception to completion.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with HIPAA/ADA standards while meeting schedules and budgets. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a construction project manager (10+ years).
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
• Proficiency with CAD, Visio or similar visualization tools.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, ADA, health and safety standards.
• MS Office proficiency and familiarity with construction/project management software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• PMP Certification or equivalent experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors etc. to develop the specifications of the project
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Work with Contractor to obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan and monitor progress of all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines
• Hire contractors, staff and allocate responsibilities.
• Supervise the work of GC, Tradesmen & installers while providing guidance when needed.
• Evaluate progress, prepare detailed reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Meet all required timelines for work assigned while regularly updating systems as work progresses
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety standards while reporting issues to appropriate parties
• Work with the internal support team to meet key target dates
• Partner with Leaders to ensure HearingLife team members understand the work and their responsibilities

• Determine needed resources (Furniture, AV, Flooring, Finishes etc…) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations


• Plan and monitor progress of all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met


• Hire contractors, staff and allocate responsibilities.


• Supervise the work of GC, Tradesmen & installers while providing guidance when needed.


• Evaluate progress, prepare detailed reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders

• Work with the internal support team (IT, Marketing, Operations, etc..) so that key target dates are met successfully.

Requirements

• Proven experience as construction project manager


• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles


• Highly proficient with one or more computer visualization tools (CAD, Visio, etc.)


• Familiarity with HIPAA, ADA, health and safety standards


• Working knowledge of MS Office


• Familiarity with construction/ project management software


• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills


• Excellent organizational and time-management skills


• Required 10+ years construction project management


• PMP or equivalent certification or work experience will be an advantage
