Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager for our Kansas City area projects. You will oversee the project lifecycle from planning through commissioning, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with design documents and safety standards.

You will lead site teams, manage budgets, and report progress to clients and senior management. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of GC project management experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project management and construction management.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and MS Office Suite.

  • Implementing effective cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Resolving contract disputes and design problems that may arise during the construction process.
  • Leading and managing project teams to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Preparing and presenting project updates to relevant stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
