  • Degree in construction administration or construction management is a plus, but not required.

River Street Architecture, a Chattanooga-based full-service architecture and interiors firm, is looking for a full-time Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who understands how buildings come together and can help ensure design documents are clear, coordinated, and followed throughout construction.


Working directly with River Street’s partners and project teams, you’ll serve as an important link among architects, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors—helping identify issues early and keep multiple projects moving forward.


What You’ll Do


  • Review construction drawings for clarity, completeness, coordination, and constructability.

  • Confirm that design documents and project requirements are being followed during construction.

  • Review contractor submittals and respond to requests for information (RFIs) accurately and promptly.

  • Identify potential construction issues before work begins and collaborate with the project team on practical solutions.

  • Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal team members.

  • Visit local and out-of-town project sites to gather information, document conditions, take measurements and photographs, and attend meetings.

  • Track issues, decisions, and follow-up items across multiple active projects.

  • Support the project team before, during, and after construction to help protect design intent and project quality.


What You Bring


  • At least five years of experience in general construction across a range of building types.

  • Strong working knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, documentation, and field coordination.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and critically review architectural and construction drawings.

  • Experience reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across email, phone, meetings, and job-site conversations.

  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail while managing several projects at once.

  • A proactive, practical problem-solving approach and the confidence to raise concerns early.

  • Degree in construction administration or construction management is a plus, but not required.


Position Details

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with an anticipated start as soon as possible. The salary range is $75,000–$95,000, depending on experience. Local and out-of-town project-site travel is required as project needs arise. This position reports directly to the partners of River Street Architecture, LLC.
