Job Title: Construction Healthcare Project Manager

Duration: 08 Months Contract + Possibility of Extension/FTE

Location: Charlotte, NC 28202

Pay Rate: $70.00 - $80.81 hourly

JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for design and construction of projects for an 8-hospital, multiple clinic health system, serving 29 counties in eastern North Carolina.
• Manage corporate office staff of 16 that provides design services, management of design consultants, and administration of construction contracts.
• Project delivery systems include traditional design/ bid/construct, negotiated contracts and design/build.
• The not-for-profit system is made up of more than 12,500 employees, eight hospitals, home health, hospice, wellness centers, and Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician and provider group with more than 500 providers in more than 90 locations in eastern North Carolina.
• As a major resource for health services and education, has a mission to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. Net operating revenue is $1.8B.

Essential Job Functions:

• Works with hospital administration to develop appropriate budgets and schedules that meet program requirements.
• Works with hospital administrations to ensure that implements and meets its long-range goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the overall planning and management of design and construction projects within the Working with hospital administration, outside consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to implement program objectives.
• Responsible for controlling costs
• Negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality and value for the cost and optimum schedules for the health system.
• Provide consulting services on design/construction projects. Procure and manage consultants as required for design/planning studies to meet the programmatic needs of the health system.
• Manage the Facilities & Properties work schedules and operating budget
