Job summary

Calimingo Pools in Los Angeles County is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead luxury pool and outdoor living builds from kickoff to handover. You will coordinate engineers, designers, inspectors, and suppliers to keep projects on scope, schedule, and budget.

You will visit active sites daily, lead meetings, review plans and contracts, and manage change orders while ensuring safety and quality across all tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction project management experience in pools, hardscape, masonry, or high-end residential.
• 2+ years building pools or managing pool scopes on custom homes.
• Strong plan-reading skills and experience running multiple trades and subcontractors at once.
• Comfortable with project management software and daily documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction across multiple trades, from pre-construction through final walkthrough.
• Review plans, engineering, and contracts, and raise any issues with the right team members before work begins.
• Schedule subcontractors, crews, materials, and equipment.
• Lead crew chiefs, project leads, and subcontractors, and hold them accountable.
• Serve as the main point of contact for engineers, designers, and inspectors, including LA County and city building departments.
• Visit active job sites across LA County daily to check progress, quality, and safety.
• Run job meetings with clients, trades, and inspectors, and document them.
• Manage change orders: collect subcontractor pricing, get design approvals, and resolve client concerns.
• Keep project records current in our software systems.
• Enforce safety, ethics, and compliance standards on every job.

Construction Project Manager – Luxury Pools & Outdoor Living (Los Angeles County)

Calimingo Pools is a design-build firm specializing in custom luxury pools and outdoor living spaces across Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego. We’re hiring a Project Manager to run our Los Angeles County builds from start to finish, including pool and spa construction, masonry, concrete, ironwork, woodwork, and irrigation.

You’ll coordinate our crew chiefs and subcontractors in the field, along with engineers, designers, inspectors, and suppliers, and make sure every project is built to scope, on schedule, and on budget.

What you bring

• 3+ years of construction project management experience in pools, hardscape, masonry, or high-end residential
• 2+ years building pools or managing pool scopes on custom homes
• Strong plan-reading skills and experience running multiple trades and subcontractors at once
• Comfortable with project management software and daily documentation
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• Experience with LA-area permitting (LADBS, LA County Building & Safety)
• Hillside, HOA, or luxury estate experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
