Job description

Project Manager

You care about doing what you said you would do by the day you said you would do it. You raise the small problem the morning you spot it, not the week it becomes a big one. You want the room to make a call without waiting on a second opinion, and you want to be trusted with the call you make.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

Why Work With Us

Tech Air is reshaping the North Carolina landscape through precision and craftsmanship. That is not a tagline we hang on the wall. It is the reason we pick the projects we pick and the people we bring on board.

We build a company where the person running the job is the person accountable for the job. No hand-offs to hide behind. No committee to blame. You run it, you own it, and we back you.

We treat clients like people we will see again, because we will. We treat the field and the office as one team, because the work fails when they are not. We treat a good idea from anyone as a good idea, full stop.

What makes us different from the shop down the street is quiet. It shows up in how we talk to each other on a bad day, how we answer a client when the answer is hard, and how we finish a project when nobody is watching.

If that sounds like a place you want to show up to, keep going.

Please Don't Apply If
  • You go quiet when a job starts to slip and hope nobody notices.
  • You need a manager to tell you which item to work first.
  • You raise your voice when the pressure climbs.
  • You blame the last person in the chain when something goes wrong on your watch.
  • You want the same problem every day.
Our Ideal Applicant

You hold yourself to the standard you ask of everyone else. You will not ask a foreman to be on time and then be late yourself.

You tell people what changed before they have to ask. Clients, crews, and the office all hear it from you first.

You say what went wrong on your watch and what you are doing about it. No spin. No stall.

You gather what you need, make the call, and move. You know that a decision made today is worth more than a perfect one made Friday.

You know the status of every job you run without looking it up. When someone asks, the answer is already in your head.

You ask the question when something in the request looks off. You would rather be the person who slowed a job for a day than the person that let a mistake ride for a week.

You get satisfaction from the whole team winning. A clean closeout that nobody notices is a good week for you.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Managing Client Relationships

You are the voice the client hears from start to finish. You set expectations early, you keep the conversation open, and you bring concerns up before they turn into complaints.

When a client trusts you, the next project is already half sold. That trust is your job to earn and your job to protect.

Delivering Projects On Time and On Budget

You plan the phases, build the schedule, and track the budget from kickoff to closeout. You know where the money is going and where the days are going, and you report both plainly.

When a milestone is at risk, you say so early and bring a plan with you.

Directing Task and Team Coordination

You assign the work, oversee the trades, and resolve the scheduling conflicts that come with active job sites. You keep the work moving when the day gets messy.

People come to you when something needs solving. You like that.

Driving Field and Office Integration

You make sure estimating, design, procurement, and the field all hand off cleanly. You catch the gap between what was sold and what is being built before it costs anyone a day.

One team, one job, one plan. You are the person who keeps it that way.

Keeping Documentation Honest and Current

You keep change orders, RFIs, budgets, schedules, and meeting minutes up to date. Not because a policy says so, but because the next person who opens the file deserves the truth.
