Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables in Madison, WI seeks a Project Delivery Intern to support the execution of solar projects from engineering through operation. The 12-week summer role reports to the Senior Project Manager in our Madison, WI office and is a full-time internship.

The role involves coordinating planning, assisting PMs with submittals and procurements, reviewing schedules, managing RFIs, and ensuring safety and quality across projects. Compensation is $25/hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed an associate or bachelor's degree.
• Preferred major in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with ownership, initiative and accountability.
• Proficient with MS Office, Windows and project tracking software.
• Hands-on construction experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capacity for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

About The Role

OneEnergy is seeking a Project Delivery Intern for our solar energy construction portfolio across the United States. The Project Delivery Intern is a full time summer position that will report to the Senior Project Manager in our Madison, WI office. This position will be supporting the execution of projects, starting with the engineering and procurement phase, and leading up to commercial operation.

What You'll Do

• Coordinating and supporting the planning and active construction of multiple projects.
• Assisting Project Manager(s) with submittal compilation, purchase orders, on-site job walk- throughs, change orders, request for information, pay application support and close-out documents.
• Reviewing project schedules and assisting in the procurement of major equipment.
• Processing and managing RFIs and submittals, project closeout documentation.
• Reviewing and managing project quality requirements.
• Providing steady and reliable communication while also managing complicated schedules, budgets, contractors, people, risks, and other resources.
• Ensuring that all safety, quality, and environmental policies of the Company and project owners are followed by all project personnel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completing an associate or bachelor's degree.
• Preferred major in Construction Management or Engineering, or another major with experience supporting operations, engineering or construction.
• Excellent, professional written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
• A demonstrated ability with MS Office, MS Windows and project tracking software is required.
• Hands-on construction experience and a practical understanding about the general construction and electrical trades preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
• A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.

Dates And Deadlines

• The 12-week internship will run from Tuesday, June 1st - Friday, August 20th. Start and ends dates can be flexed based on school schedule.
• Applications are due on Monday, October 19th.

Compensation

OneEnergy's compensation packages are dependent on an array of factors including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other organizational needs. Interns will be paid an hourly rate of $25/hour.
