Job summary

Verdex Construction is seeking a Lead Construction Superintendent to join our Operations team and oversee project planning, execution, and leadership across multiple projects. You will drive schedule adherence, budget control, and coordination among engineers, architects, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in project management within construction.
• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
• Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
• Must be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Suite and database software (Sage Project Management, Procore, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Lead project team including project superintendent, PMs, engineers, and staff to deliver on schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects to determine project specifications.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors for profitable agreements.
• Obtain permits and licenses from authorities.
• Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
• Manage budgets and monitor costs to meet financial targets.
• Coordinate efforts across project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
