Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead day-to-day management of large-scale construction projects in Charleston, SC. You will create comprehensive project plans, support senior leadership in stakeholder communications, manage risk, and track progress against schedules.

The role requires a degree in a related field and 4+ years of construction experience, with 2+ years of team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 4+ years of construction experience; preference for general contractor on large-scale projects
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams
• Understanding of strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions
• Experience managing projects from start to finish
• Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors
• Strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting
• Know and apply the company contracts and understand all parties involved
• Secure permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors
• Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activity
• Lead, train, and develop project team members
• Prepare monthly job status reports on priorities and issues
• Oversee project close-out, turnover of manuals and warranties, final payment documents
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, engineering and design firms
• Establish deadlines and monitor project progress
• Drive a culture of safety on site
• Support acquisition of new work via proposals and presentations
• Provide leadership to foster inclusion and diversity
