Qualifications

• Requires engineering or construction management education, training, and experience.
• Strong mathematical and engineering skills.
• Ability to develop take-offs, estimates, and manage costs.
• Proficiency with drafting tools and CADD technology.
• Ability to read and interpret complex contracts, blueprints, and schematics.
• Effective communication and negotiation with staff, faculty, and contractors.
• Clear writing of reports, specifications, and CADD drawings.
• Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency with personal computers and common software.
• Prepare business correspondence and policy reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts with contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Plan, design, schedule, and estimate requests for renovations or new construction.
• Evaluate facility conditions and recommend renovations or repairs.
• Develop specifications by researching vendor data and applicable codes.
• Prepare project contract documents including change orders.
• Meet with project requestors to interpret needs and prioritize projects.
• Assist in developing reports, plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Maintain organized project files and administrative tasks.
