Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience managing mechanical and electrical engineering projects, including installations of production equipment.
• Strong commercial and project management skills, including negotiating, planning, estimating, costing and quoting.
• Strong IT (MS Office) and numeracy skills.
• Experience managing a small team and coordinating internal labor resources and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge of current H&S legislation & Risk Management processes.
• Good financial skills including cost and budgetary controls, accounting and procedures control through final accounts.
• Project Management qualification or specific training.
• Ability to secure a contractor’s license(s) for the company.
• Excellent written and verbal skills at technical and professional levels.
• Able to explain technical concepts simply and succinctly.
• Solution oriented.
• Able to work at a consistent level under pressure and demanding deadlines.
• Able to build strong business relationships with key clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage jobsites for new installations and relocations of equipment and/or systems.
• Plan, control and monitor projects internally and with clients.
• Provide accurate project reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Maintain daily and weekly records and documentation.
• Produce estimates in support of change orders on the project.
• Coordinate between client site personnel and the Operations Manager; document meeting minutes.
• Achieve high profits through contract management, cost tracking and resource utilization.
• Report contract performance regularly per company standards.
• Develop relationships with clients and end users.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality and company procedures.
• Maintain non-conformance and punch-list records and resolutions.
• Onboard and train workers on site.
• Facilitate effective internal and external communication.
• Assist in defining and improving on-site contract controls and engineering standards.
