Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate resources, budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements across the project lifecycle. The role involves risk management, insurance oversight, and ensuring quality and team progress through effective communication with owners and the project team.

The successful candidate will lead field supervision, subcontractor and vendor coordination, and admin of subcontracts and purchase orders, while maintaining strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent business judgment demonstrated by profitability objectives and strong client/subcontractor relationships.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with contract knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities between Suffolk needs and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate with Suffolk Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to align with the Project Schedule.
• Represent Suffolk with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Build effective working relationships with clients and the Suffolk project team members.
• Review the general contract and establish budget milestones; create schedule of values and logs.
• Maintain buy schedule, write scopes of work, subcontracts, purchase orders, and ensure insurance compliance.
• Review subcontractor references, obtain bonds, and maintain project files.
• Manage purchase and delivery schedules, change orders, and project documentation.
