Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking interns for the Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Florida region.

The program prepares you for leadership positions on and off the jobsite, with travel across the United States and hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. Interns will assist project managers, estimate costs for change orders, coordinate subcontractors, schedule contracts and materials, and contribute to document control and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-week schedule; relocation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project managers or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred
