Job summary

The Walsh Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking Interns for the Arizona Region to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. The program offers opportunities to travel across the United States and work on jobsites or in the office, with rotations through estimating and preconstruction departments.

Interns will be trained for leadership roles and may become full-time employees after college graduation, depending on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-week schedule is preferred.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Skills
