Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking Interns for our New Mexico Region to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. The program offers travel across the United States and participation in estimating and preconstruction tasks.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and can commit to a 12-week schedule; relocation may be required for some roles. Interns receive benefits including medical insurance, paid holidays, 401(k) matching, and EAP.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders
