Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on practical experience in the construction field.
• Qualified applicants will assist project teams in managing construction projects from bidding to final completion.
• Assignments include office and job site; relocation to a remote site may be required.
• Transportation is required.
• Work periods are 10-12 weeks; 40 hours/week.
• Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Responsibilities

• Report to a project manager, superintendent, project engineer or field engineer.
• Learn the engineering and technical aspects of the project in field and office.
• Assist with quantity take-off, layout, shop drawing review, submittal review, RFI review, and logs.
• Assist with coordinating work between owner, architect and subcontractors.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and assist with cost, scheduling, and quality control.

Education

Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, engineering technology or construction management, construction technology
