Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to manage OFCI equipment lifecycle, coordinate with Project Managers on scoping and take-offs, and prepare submittals in line with plans and specs.

You will support project schedules, develop subcontractor detail schedules, and help lead project plans while expediting deliveries to keep the schedule on track. A degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years in construction are required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience
• 2+ years experience in an engineer, project engineer, or a similar role in the construction industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration
• Demonstrated ability reading drawings and specifications
• Computer proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Interest and passion for building and the industry

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, tracking, coordination, and lifecycle of OFCI equipment
• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs
• Prepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs
• Support development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules
• Play a lead role in the development of project plans
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring deliveries conform with the project schedule
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate
• Facilitate with Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings
• Draft change orders
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers
• Perform scope take-off and estimate costs
• Lead close out of project; assemble manuals and warranties for turnover to owner and prepare final payment documents for subs
• Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners
• Take ownership of document management applications
