Job summary

Vistra Corporate Services Company in Irving, Texas seeks a Project Engineer to drive safe, on-schedule, and budget-conscious engineering for construction projects. You will ensure designs meet Vistra fleet standards and regulatory requirements while refining engineering guidelines and databases.

You will participate in hazard analyses, review IFC designs, and assist with equipment selection and SOW development, contributing to project economics and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS or greater in an Engineering discipline; Civil preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in power generation operations, maintenance, or engineering.
• Experience in major Power Plant Electrical System Design.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering design standards, guidelines, and specifications.
• Create and maintain a repository for project designs and fleet standards.
• Coordinate to ensure engineering and equipment standards are incorporated into project designs.
• Perform hazard analysis during pre-construction phase.
• Support major equipment selection and develop SOWs.
