Job summary

Vistra Corp. in Irving, TX, is seeking a Construction Process Director to lead a multidisciplinary team across the full lifecycle of project controls, quality assurance, and contract strategy for large-scale power-generation projects.

You will partner with engineering, construction, supply chain, legal, lenders, and independent engineers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, with a 1–2 year implementation horizon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction-related field from an accredited institution.
• MBA and PMP are preferred for this leadership role.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive project/construction management on heavy industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary project controls on large EPC or construction-managed projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of project controls processes, frameworks, and governance standards across the capital project portfolio.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive suite of project metrics — including KPIs, earned value, SPI, and CPI — for real-time visibility into project health.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs governing all phases of construction, including civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning.
• Lead the development of comprehensive contract strategies for capital projects and bid/award decisions aligned with risk profiles and market conditions.
