Job summary

Spiniello Companies is a privately held, national utility contractor delivering self-performed open cut and pipe rehabilitation work. The Project Engineer role supports the Project Manager by coordinating on-site activities to ensure cost, schedule, and quality targets are met across water and sewer projects.

Responsibilities include field planning, budgeting, and CPM updates, plus preparation of meetings and progress reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; BA in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in utility construction.
• Knowledge of water, sanitary waste, and storm water systems.
• Understanding of civil construction practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend water/sewer/ storm pipeline drawings.
• Experience with contract buyout and cost reporting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to meet cost, schedule, and quality standards.
• Assist in field planning and on-site project administration.
• Prepare monthly pay estimates and update CPM schedules.
• Maintain project budgets, change orders, and cost reports.
• Draft agendas and minutes for project meetings.
• Support safety procedures and on-site coordination with inspectors and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to contract specifications and client goals.
• Communicate effectively with project team and clients.
