Spicer Group is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support construction administration and inspection on public and private infrastructure projects. This on-site role observes work to verify conformance with plans, interprets materials requirements, documents daily activities, and communicates field conditions to the Project Manager and Construction Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Ability to possess and maintain required industry certifications based on region.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Observes work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
• Interprets specifications related to materials and workmanship.
• Participates and provides input during project meetings.
• Prepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from plans and incorporates changes into master plans.
• Maintains daily inspection report of construction inspection activities.
• Reports periodically to the project manager and construction manager.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related engineering field
