Job summary

Clark Construction Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Project Engineer to join our project team and manage all technical and engineering aspects of the project lifecycle. You will lead daily coordination with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our team to ensure accuracy, resources, and quality.

The role emphasizes scheduling, take-offs, submittals, change management, and site coordination.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• 2+ years as engineer, project engineer or similar in construction.
• Experience reading drawings and specifications; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure conformance with plans/specs.
• Support development of project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Lead development of project plans and coordinate drawings.
• Monitor material deliveries and align with schedule; manage change proposals.
• Draft change orders; solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Lead project close-out and turnover documentation; train team and partners.
