Job summary

Murray Company in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a Construction Project Engineer Intern to support healthcare construction projects from concept to completion. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in our Project Engineer Internship Program and work alongside project managers, superintendents, and coordinators.

You will participate in site visits, safety checks, documentation tracking, and vendor coordination, while collaborating with interns and leaders across departments.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Construction Management / Construction Engineering or related program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• On-site work capability and valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Summer internship May–Aug 2027.

Murray Company is looking for a Construction Project Engineer Intern to join our team. Specializing in the healthcare industry, we manage new constructions, additions, and renovations from concept to completion and ready to meet everyone’s needs. We are looking for driven college students ready to dive into the world of commercial construction. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the Project Engineer Internship Program.

What You'll Do

• Assist project managers, pre-construction managers, superintendents, project coordinators, warehouse managers while learning how real-world decisions share the outcomes
• Participate in site visits and safety checks under supervision.
• Assist with documentation tracking and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional project with interns and leaders across departments.
• Participate in company initiatives, committees, and continuing education

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related program
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work on-site
• Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Driving Record
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Commitment from May - August (Summer 2027).
