Job summary

Murray Company in Des Moines is seeking a Construction Project Engineer Intern to join our team. You will assist project managers, pre-construction staff, and site crews, gaining first-hand experience as healthcare construction projects progress from concept to completion.

As an intern, you’ll participate in site visits, safety checks, documentation tracking, and cross-functional collaboration with interns and leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully.
• Ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers, pre-construction managers, superintendents, project coordinators, warehouse managers while learning how real-world decisions share the outcomes.
• Participate in site visits and safety checks under supervision.

We are looking for driven college students ready to dive into the world of commercial construction. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the Project Engineer Internship Program.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related program
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work on-site
• Valid Driver’s License and Satisfactory Driving Record
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Commitment from May – August (Summer 2027).
