Estes Construction is seeking a Construction Project Engineer Intern in Davenport, IA for Summer 2027. You will join the Project Engineer Training Program and gain hands-on experience working with project managers, superintendents, and coordinators on-site.

The role emphasizes learning through site visits, safety checks, and documentation tasks, with mentorship and professional development opportunities. This paid internship offers housing/live allowances and networking with industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Construction Management or Construction Engineering degree or related field.

Construction Project Engineer Intern

We are looking for driven college students ready to dive into the world of commercial construction. As an intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in the Project Engineer Training Program.

What You’ll Do

• Assist project managers, pre-construction managers, superintendents, project coordinators, warehouse managers while learning how real-world decisions share the outcomes


• Participate in site visits and safety checks under supervision.


• Assist with documentation tracking and vendor coordination.


• Collaborate on a cross-functional project with interns and leaders across departments.


• Participate in company initiatives, committees, and continuing education

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related program


• Strong communication and organizational skills


• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully


• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team


• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office


• Ability to work on-site


• Valid Driver’s License and Satisfactory Driving Record


• Authorized to work in the United States


• Commitment from May – August (Summer 2027).
