Job summary

Big-D Construction in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team of construction professionals. This role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent with submittals, RFIs, procurement tracking, and scheduling, while helping ensure project quality and safety on site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management (or related field) and 2–4 years of industrial construction experience, a drive to build great projects, and a willingness to grow with our

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2–4 years of related experience on industrial construction projects or equivalent.
• A drive to build great projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review submittals.
• Write and track RFIs and process or assist in change orders.
• Prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes.
• Maintain construction drawings; provide marketing assistance as required.
• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with subcontract and schedule administration.
• Keeps up-to-date on construction drawings and as-builts.
• Prepare and manage procurement tracking logs to correlate with the project schedule.
• Maintain submittals, RFIs and responses; monitor changes and progress.
• Maintain electronic and hard copy project folders; provide drawings and specifications to subcontractors.
• QA/QC: assist in verifying materials installed meet submittals.
• Document project activities with writing and photos.
• Participate in job closeout, monitor safety to meet OSHA standards.
