Job summary

Cornerstone General Contractors in Anchorage, Alaska region seeks a Project Engineer to grow into construction leadership. This role blends field exposure with office coordination, giving hands-on experience from preconstruction through closeout while you learn from seasoned professionals.

You will support project managers, track budgets, help with scheduling, and communicate with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 3 years of construction experience required.
• 2 years in Project Engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in the successful execution of commercial construction projects.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, procurement, and documentation activities.
• Help coordinate project communications between clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and project teams.
• Participate in project meetings, planning sessions, and progress reviews.
• Assist with project closeout activities and turnover documentation.
• Serve as a professional representative of Cornerstone on project sites and with clients.
