RWE Design Build is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and site team in coordinating, planning, and executing construction projects in Downers Grove, IL. The role acts as a liaison between office and field, ensuring technical accuracy and timely communication to keep projects on track.

You will assist with planning, scheduling, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and cost tracking while maintaining documentation and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with project management software and blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Assist in project planning, scheduling and tracking progress.
• Coordinate between architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure drawings, specs and documents are current and distributed.
• Review and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
• Prepare RFIs and manage submittals.
• Support field teams to align work with design documents.
• Monitor safety compliance and quality workmanship.
• Participate in inspections and testing.
• Maintain project documentation and logs.
• Assist with cost tracking, change orders and progress billing.
• Support project closeout documentation including punch lists and as-builts.
