Job summary

Performance Contracting Group, a national employee-owned contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Nashville-Smyrna operations based in Smyrna, TN. Responsibilities include labor control, preparing RFIs and submittals, performing takeoffs to verify estimates, and creating schedules with field supervisors.

The role requires 2+ years of construction project experience, strong reading of drawings and specifications, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong teamwork.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
• Create and manage project schedules; coordinate with field supervisors.
• Create and manage punch lists and closeout documentation.
• Support QA/QC measures in the project.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
