Ideal Candidate: The candidate should be highly knowledgeable in project engineering within the construction industry, willing to learn, proactive, positive, and committed to excellence.

Job Summary

The Project Engineer will perform duties as assigned by the Project Manager(s), including assisting in managing, planning, and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to ensure projects stay within budget and schedule. Responsibilities include developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager daily with project tasks.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders and subcontractor agreements.
  • Assist with scanning and filing receipts, tickets, etc.
  • Review and process timesheets from field employees.
  • Photograph and document work areas as needed.
  • Use construction management software to track and report project costs.
  • Deliver documentation, paperwork, and payments to various locations around El Paso.
  • Perform takeoffs and quantify plans as needed.
  • Coordinate orders and deliveries of materials with vendors.
Knowledge, Education, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in computer software related to design and visualization.
  • Ability to manage multiple discipline projects.
  • Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices in project management, construction methods, process improvement, technical understanding, documentation, and safety management.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods. Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, around moving equipment, and tolerate loud noises. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Additional Information

This position is evergreen, remaining open continuously without a closing date. Applications will be kept active for 4 months.
