Job summary

Miller-Davis is seeking a Project Engineer to support all phases of construction projects in Kalamazoo, MI. The role blends office and field work, enabling collaboration with Owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.

You will gain hands-on experience in project coordination, documentation, scheduling, quality control, and field operations while pursuing growth toward Project Manager or Superintendent positions.

Qualifications

• Willingness to grow into a Project Manager or Superintendent role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers, Estimators, and Field Supervisors to drive project success.
• Serve as a key communicator between Owners, Architects/Engineers, Contractors, and Suppliers.
• Maintain and update project schedules to keep everything on track.
• Assist in managing budgets and controlling job costs.
• Coordinate contractor activities and expedite material deliveries.
• Support contract and purchase order preparation.
• Review and process shop drawings and submittals.
• Help implement quality assurance and sustainable construction practices.
• Champion safety by enforcing Miller‑Davis's Safety Program and regulations.

As a Project Engineer, you will support all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
