Description

ECBuild is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. The Project Engineer will be responsible for submittal review, expediting, coordination, problem resolution (RFI’s), document control, and serving as the touchpoint between multiple parties including Subcontractors, Owners, and other key members of the construction team.

Job Duties

• Assist in managing all features of the assigned project(s) from start through closeout.
• Reinforce project management through effective interaction and coordination with internal team members and external parties.
• Ensure scope is executed according to the contract and prevent unplanned/unbudgeted work.
• Attend all project meetings as required by the Project Manager.
• Maintain and update all construction documents (Submittals, RFI’s, change orders, drawings, specifications, etc.) and prepare as-built documents.
• Assist with Quality Control/Quality Assurance efforts.
• Support job cost management efforts.
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
• Manage RFI and Submittal processes.
• Organize material testing documentation and track non-conformance issues to closure.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field.
• Internships in the Construction Industry.
• Knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, subcontractor agreements, estimating, schedules, and safety.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Procore or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Willingness to travel and work at various locations.
• Ability to work well with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP, or Commercial projects is a plus.
