  • Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the planning and execution process.
  • Proactively resolve technical, construction, and operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, environmental regulations, safety standards, and local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, operations, contractors, customers, and business partners.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding project schedules, budgets, risks, and progress.
  • Develop project execution strategies that maximize facility reliability and long-term asset performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

PROJECT ENGINEER Capital Projects | Construction Management | Facility Infrastructure

Location: Detroit, MI

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Pay Rate: $52.38 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

Travel: Up to 40%

Employment Type: Long-Term Contract

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the planning, design, execution, and oversight of construction and building systems projects. This position is responsible for managing projects that improve the value, reliability, and long-term performance of facility assets. The Project Engineer will coordinate internal engineering and construction teams, external consulting firms, contractors, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle. The successful candidate will manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, procurement activities, and contractor performance while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
