Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services subsidiary, seeks an experienced Project Cost Analyst for our Provo, Utah team. You will support financial and cost-control functions across construction projects, focusing on cost tracking, data entry, reporting, and forecast support to maintain budgetary control and efficiency.

Collaborate with Controllers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Finance to ensure timely, accurate data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1-3 years of cost analysis or project accounting experience.
• Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and cost tracking principles.
• Working knowledge of construction accounting and budgeting concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); exposure to ERP/financial systems such as JDE, SAP, EcoSys.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record actual project costs (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor invoices) with accurate coding.
• Enter and maintain cost data in Ecosys and other financial systems in a timely manner.
• Reconcile cost reports against budgets and flag discrepancies for review.
• Support weekly cost verification and financial postings.
• Maintain project budgets and cost breakdowns under supervision.
• Assist in WBS setup and updates with project team.
• Help prepare cost-to-complete estimates and monthly forecasts.
• Track production and earned value metrics for forecasting accuracy.
• Prepare routine cost reports and variance summaries for leadership.
• Provide basic trend analysis comparing actual costs to budgeted amounts.
• Support development of dashboards and project performance reports.
