Qualifications

• 2+ years of cost accounting, project accounting, audit, or construction accounting experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
• Experience with construction accounting systems, CMiC is a plus
• Located in or willing to work from Madison, Wisconsin

Responsibilities

• Support Project Financial Performance: Partner with Project Managers to monitor job costs and forecast project financial performance
• Manage Cost Reporting and Analysis: Review project cost activity and prepare financial reports
• Drive Billing and Contract Administration: Coordinate owner billings and review change orders
• Maintain Financial Accuracy: Prepare journal entries and monitor cost allocations
• Collaborate Across Project Teams: Work with Project Managers, Operations, and Accounting teams
• Improve Systems and Processes: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and resolve complex accounting issues
